GoWags Baseball/Softball Training Center
Mission Statement
The Mission of GoWags Baseball/Softball Training Center is to provide athletes with the next generation of sport specific
knowledge, assessment, and advanced training.
Owned and operated by Bret Wagner, Kyle Wagner,
and Bob Gorinski, GoWags is specifically designed to optimize
hitting and pitching athleticism, through a comprehensive sports
performance program and training facility.
GoWags aims to provide several
strategies that will afford athletes every opportunity to achieve
unrealized potential in hitting and pitching. This will occur
through individual musculoskeletal/orthopedic assessment, customized
training, technical skill coaching, and routine evaluation of key
performance variables. An interactive web site, state-of-the-art
technology, and our compilation of relevant measures will provide an
objective basis for tracking progress and exposing problem areas.
As players ourselves, we’ve
personally experienced what it’s like to be on the other side of so
much uncertainty, outdated wisdom, and unmerited training methods
that seem to keep baseball in the dark ages.
It’s time to question some of the conventional
baseball wisdom. It’s time to objectively verify effective skill and
conditioning techniques. It’s time for athletes to truly understand
and apply the basic principles of physics and physiology behind the
game; to know - for sure - if they are improving; to train smarter
and harder; and to find joy in the self-discovery that takes
place along the way.
We're lifetime students who have a passion for
learning and teaching. With extensive family histories in baseball,
we make no apologies for using that white sphere with red stitches
as an "attention getter" and a point of common ground. We make use
of our opportunity to encourage disciplined living inside and
outside the gym. We attempt to exemplify character and balance -
that there is much more to life than baseball.
We highly regard the time our clients give to
us. We see the development of appropriate relationships as sacred.
We're certain that the process of disciplined physical training is a
journey of self-discovery that's valuable for far more than
baseball.

Kyle Wagner

GoWags was the brainchild of Kyle. It is his goal to help all
athletes understand how the relationship between hard work, sport
specific training, and the understanding of applied physics can
translate into amazing results - results he's seen in his own
players. Kyle played his
collegiate ball at Wake Forest and was a catcher in the California
Angels organization. Kyle recently resigned as head coach of Red
Land High School in order to dedicate himself to GoWags. Kyle also led Wake Forest to an ACC title
as an assistant coach. Kyle is the resident baseball guru and as
earned his Jedi Knight status as a baseball coach. Don't believe me?
Check it out for yourself.
